It's a little cheaper than the Summit oil.
that stuff doesnt have any detergant in it. good for break in only. but it is loaded with zddp. ill use the spectro oil next time too, even tho iv got a case of zddplus sitting around, except ill just pick some up from work rather then buy summits re-badged version, save on shipping. my motor leaks a bit of oil so i think ill start with the Valvoline and the expensive additive like normal and top it off with the spectro as it leaks. eventually ill fix the leak. right now i top off with regular valvoline which brings my oils level of zddp down as im not putting any more additive in.

V8 Super Beetle I'm going to try some out after I finish using the couple gallons of Rotella T and the couple containers of Comp Cams break-in oil additive I have. I wonder if using the Summit racing oil and the comp cams additive together would be over kill? Can you never over kill when it comes to flat tappet protection?

V8 Super Beetle You're right. It's the exact same bottle mold for sure. Has the Spectro name on it. Must be the exact same stuff or a slight variation. Good call and nice find.

chevy1500z71 yea, spectro only sells motorcycle and atv oils, summit must have cought on that these are the only remaining oils that are loaded with zddp because ats need it for their flat tappet cams and the clutch and transmission. i always wanted to try using some of the atv oil from work for my truck because wev got the spectro 10-40 in the barel, but i was afraid it had no detergent, like a full blown racing oil, but summit claims oitherwise by saying you can use it in a street car.

its probably this stuff or a variation of it

V8 Super Beetle Thanks for the reply. Makes sense to me. Most Summit brand products are just that, repacked goods, which is fine by me. It good to hear it's good quality oil. I might try it one day.

chevy1500z71 this thread may be a little old but i came across it researching the summit oil a bit, because it looks to good to be true. it looks like its made by spectro, its in a spectro bottle. im a mechanic at an atv shop and we sell spector oils, i know atv and motorcycle oils have alot of zddp so it may just be something like that re badged.

Has anyone heard anything about Summit's line of oils? Seems to be what us flat tappet cam guys need at a decent price.

Too good to be true? I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. Says the oil has 1,800 ppm of zddp. I wonder who makes it for them?
