|DanTwoLakes||The seats he's talking about are not actual racing seats, they just look like racing seats. These seats recline and tilt, and part of that mechanism must have gotten broken. If you look at the warranty for the seats, it is for 90 days, and does not cover wear or breakage "under any circumstances". They are only covered for manufacturing defects.|

Have you called Summit yet? If that is a racing seat and it broke I would be on the phone with them,see if they will warranty it before you cut into it,noway that should happen.

|DanTwoLakes||Whoa! Just take the seat cover and padding off the frame. It had to be put on some way, so it will come off to get at the frame to fix it. If you can't take it off yourself, take it to an upholstery shop and let them do it.|

once I cut my seat...
Ok so I have the racing seats that you can buy out of the summit catalog they were like 200 a piece well someone broke one of them to where the back is real flemsy.Well what I wanna know is I'm gonna take it out but I have to cut the material on the seat to get in there&try to fix it.Its all black&what I'm trying to find out is what can I use that's black when I'm done to meand it?like I know some restaurants have stuff they use on the seats in the booth.Well thanx!
