I was origanally going to use the chassis for my 33 plymouth coupe but i have since sold this and now have a model y body ( slightly smaller 34 ). I do have another chassis from a Riley rm which i will probably use now due to the feedback i have, as for the pictured chassis, for what i paid for it i'll probably shove it behind the garage and just use it for it's metal.

Irelands child It's for sure NOT based on Ford's Model A chassis. An 'A' ('28-'31)has a 103.5 wheel base, minimal rear kick up and none in the front - it's virtually a flat chassis. Of course, for a rat rod it could use anything.

This is TCI's version of an 'A' frame and while it has an IFS and a 4" rear kick up for coil overs, it is the same general shape as an OEM (and I have had an original '31 sedan body on it).



My opinion, if you can sell it, you might be best off. A workable 'A' chassis can be easily built with a welder and some 2x4 x .125 to .180 wall tubing and a pair of frame horn repair sections

dinger It looks a little like a dune buggy frame, the way the front perch is so high, like a strut type of chassis would be used. It doesn't look practical for any street rod application I could think of.

NEW INTERIORS It is for sure a home made chassis..Mustang II front end parts should fit it..

Hey Joe

I could write a book on what is wrong on this frame but I will keep it to two points. First off that is a Mustang 2 upper A arm perch see attached photos. The front frame horns appear to be way to high to the rest of the frame just by the pictures I would say 6-8 inches too high. If that is the engine mount that the wood board is bolted to a small block Ford would have the bottom of the valve covers about the height of the cowl, making the angle of the engine to be around 35 degrees to get the tranny tucked into the tunnel (impossible). The wheel base should be 106 inches for 28-32 and the front frame horn should be about 5 inches from bottom of frame, center line of the wheel to the ground with the frame sitting on the floor. My professional advice would be to sell this frame and use a frame built for your project.

Identifie this chassis

I don't really know if this is the right section for this but i have this chassis if anyone can shed any light on it.



The chassis was bought as a model a based chassis with front a rear end set up for mustang II and a 302 and has a wheelbase of opproximatly 108 inch (i was on my own when i measured it) but i have had some conflicting suggestions as to what it actually is, from a willys to a sebring.
If i recall i was told it was a Classic Rods or Vitage Rods chassis and dates from the 80's.
Any info would be much appreciated as i don't want to be buying a mustang II front end to find out it is something completly different.
