Spindle reaming

Possible to ream out a spindle?

Situation is a lack of aftermarket parts and an unpopular bolt pattern. 6x4.5 which greatly limits wheel selection. The previous gen of truck has the bolt pattern I would like and a non hub bearing type spindle. The gen after, mine, has larger ball joint studs and I'm sure the taper is different also. The availability of store stocked parts would be nice.

Anyone done this or have thoughts on it.
