rfb92345 Currie makes a bolt in housing, but it's pricey at about $700, I believe. The other option is ladder bars and coilover shocks, again pretty pricey. I'm running a built 9", ladder bars and coil overs in my G-body cutlass. I got about $2000 in it and I did all the work myself. It's going to cost you any way you go, but I have to agree, 12 bolts are getting hard to find.

I'll be running a pretty stout 427. I have a 10 bolt at the moment and YEs I plan to run slicks. I can not find an affordable 12 inch core, I thought I might try fabbing a 9 inch.

rfb92345 Can I ask, why do you want a 9", is it because the one you have is no good? or are you making gobs of power? Are you racing with slicks? What is you reason and application?

Where can I get a 9 inch rear end for a 1969 Chevelle?

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this message board, but I frequent Team Chevelle. I hear this is a good place to ask questions. What I would like to know is...What vehicles can I aquire a 9 inch ford rear end from? I know that I will have to modify it for a coil spring set up, but what cars do I look for, what years? Are they like 12 bolts (65-72 and in only A body rears work)?
