|wrenchturner||I agree with the other fellas try to stay at 40 over.but if you've got to do 60 over better make sure your block came out of the mold evenly what I mean by that is you have equal amounts of metal on both sides of your block.to check this looking at the front of your block look at the cam hole making sure the hole is centerd equal amounts of metal around the hole.there are guys running around 60 over my self I would be skiddish about it.|

I agree with the guy before me.See if
it will clean up with another .010 over.
I wouldn't go .060 over on most small block
chevys as they are prone to many problems
(overheating,stress cracks,heavy warping)
when bored that much.

|Oldbuz||just how bad is the bore.maybe look to a different machine shop.or try goin 10 over the 30 for a total af 40 over.|

.060 bored 350
The block I was going to us for my car is already been bored to .030. The machinists says needs bore again. I have heard the 350 chevy will run hot at .060. Alot of race engines are bored to that, but they also don't have to sit in traffic an idle. I am building the car for long distance driving, not racing. Well maybe a little fun, but not full all out racing. I am limited on the size of radiator that will fit. There just isn't enough room to put in a monster. Will it overheat easier than an another chevy only bored to .030?
