Torque454 My boss cleans his guns with lacquer thinner and then leaves FRESH clean lacquer thinner in the gun and hangs it up on a rack.

Beenaway2long Brake clean from Walmart. $1.38/can

Melts the cruddy paint right out. Then wash with laquer to get residue out. Killer on clear.

trees Lacquer thinner works for me. Regardless, you can't over clean the gun. I almost totally disassemble mine every time I clean it after not cleaning one good enough several years ago. When poly paints set up in your gun, you have got your work cut out for you.

Which solvent to clean paint gun?

Hi all, new member and new DIY home painter. I'm painting my motorcycle with a urethane primer and an acryllic urethane base. What solvent should I run through the gun to clean it out?
