the Jag comes with Big front brakes, forged upper and lower A arms, A bolt on bottom A arm spring plates Ball joints are pricey but on a lighter Hot rod should last forever. If you compare the K and K crosmember front end vs an upgraded Mustang II with big brakes, new tube arms, etc the prices are comparable. I plan on building My own crosmembers on the next 2 roadster projects and use the jag stuff, I picked up two late jag front suspensions for $ 125 each.

Mustang 2 suspension..
Hi,i have fatman IFS in my 48 ford coupe.i needed some parts (i lost or misplaced) the old ones) i sent Fatman an Email,and got the parts delivered the next day, Fatmans support is AWESOME. and they have a great product line too.

I have a TCI on my 'A'. It uses easily obtained standard parts. My second choice would have been the Heidt's. Regardless of the brand, you will have to modify the fender braces to fit around the upper control arm cross shaft - but no big deal, just a couple hours.
And then, under the (almost ) finished car:
What ever way you go, a quality version, even the plain steel versions - ain't cheap!! The chrome and stainless, .....but get a quality and a long and well known brand (Fatman, I don't believe does one for an 'A' chassis)

heidts superide is the only way to go with a full fendered vehile a mustang II is way to tight with the fenders. hope this helps you out

The above post brings up a good point. You want to use a front end that will facilitate finding replacement parts at a reasonable price. I don't know how much Jag ball joints cost, but I would venture a guess they are substantially more than Mustang II.

K and K custom crossmembers builds nice looking stuff to use jag components I don't know if they will fit under fenders.

Their have been quality issues expressed by some about Fatmans products. Another alternative is Heidts.

Independent Front Suspension on a Model A
I am looking for opinion on the best independent suspension that would fit a full fendered model A well. The one that I have been looking at the most is from Fatman Fabrications. It is the Affordable IFS system. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.
