Footstomper I saw that today, I thought that I could switch to the ford 1936 to 1939, those are the wide 5, simliar of the VW rims in the early beetle. I feel that I have spent too much, I just want to know of anyone drilling the studs to make it to fit my 1940 wheels, just on the front. Just ten holes in the wheels pattern of 5 1/2".

Mustang II rotor 11" with a 4.5

I have a 40 ford coupe, updating the front from 40 original, to the mustang II, I want the original wheels, 5 1/2" pattern from 4.5". I knocked the studs of the rotor, put the 11" rotor, added the caliper, put the 40 wheel with the sweet 16" radials. I have clearance when I put it all together. I called my speed shop and asked if they can drill the rotors to 5 1/2" pattern. I understand that the 5 1/2" may have to drill into the walls of the rotor hat and use the studs, they match the 40 threads.

Does anyone have a better idea. Don't throw money right now, I just to get on the road. I have looked at everything with around 600. The drilling is 120.
