Thanks. What would be normal usage? I used a half quart in the first 300 miles.

yes almost always you will notice a little oil useage at first that is totally normal, make sure when you start the engine you have the zinc brake in suplement in the oil you can buy it at napa or any perfomance shop, they took zinc out of oil a few years ago that what helps your brake-in when you first start the engine, also hold the engine at approx 2000-2500 rpm for approx 20 min, all this is very emportant on brake in good luck

new engine breakin question

Just installed a rebuilt 350 cu inch chevy. It has break in oil. Should I expext to consume any oil in initial breakin period? Thanks...
