Located a guy just outside of Raleigh.
He is renovating an old barn for his shop and should be ready to go in a couple of weeks.
PM me for more info.

It's good there's no bracing in the way, otherwise you just cut it out and weld it back in.
Didn't find any in NC with a quick search, just the normal-type fab shops that you probably wouldn't walk into with an old car hood. Me I'd ask a hot rod shop if they knew anyone, if nobody here does.

Since I saw this threads about louvers I wanted to throw out a question.
I have a old truck... hood is just a sheet of factory bent metal. (what I am trying to say is it doesn't have all the cross bracing like today's cars do)
I am going to cut louvers in my pickup hood to help with heat issues.
Will this weaken the hood, strengthen the hood, or make no difference.
I assume the number of louvers and location will have some effect also..??

Let me know if you find someone.
I have a hood that needs doing too.

If you don't mind having the hood cut up a bit, these are much easier to install, and much cheaper than having them stamped into the hood.

Anyone know of a shop in NC (preferably in or close to Raleigh that can stamp louvers ?
Looking for something along these lines or close to this:
