Updated information

As I posted before, Andrew never showed up in court, so he lost the case. He still has not paid me my money, but I have not given up. There is a bench warrant on him, so if he gets stopped for a traffic violation, they will arrest him.
As for the posts concerning his work, all I can say is BEWARE. About all he does is repaint the parts and tries to pass them off as rebuilt or new. The last steering rack he brought me was never touched internally. When I opened it, I found the nylon cups inside the rack were deteriorated and broken. The shaft was an old worn one that had been painted. The air bypass line was disconnected and he never put the spacers back in the unit, so the wheels hit the fenders when I made a sharp turn.
Andrew is a poor excuse for a rebuilder and a man. He is a gang banging punk living off his fathers good reputation. I suggest anyone that wants steering rebuild work done, find another shop that knows what they are doing.
I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and a trouble free New Year.

Careful doing unauthorized work on it- you wouldn't want to void your warranty...

Recieved my rebuilt steering box from Powercraft!

Hey Guys - This guy did finally come through. I've been e-mailing him about my 56 steering box for a little over a month now and he called me out of the blue last week to deliver it. We hooked up and he delivered my rebuilt steering box.

power craft Andrew Gonzales

I am one of the suckers that gave Andrew cash for a 55 Chevy power steering setup. The purchase was at Hot August Nights 2009(HAN2009). He promised that he would send it out within 3 days. I waited three weeks and then contacted him. I was promised many times, that he had sent it out, but to the wrong zip code, wrong name. wrong address etc, etc. I finally tracked him down at the Goodguys event in Ca, and he gave me a setup. I was happy until I tried to put it in. Then I discovered that everything was wrong. Nothing would fit. I talked to him at HAN2010, and he was very apologetic, and promised to give me a new cci correct steering unit, and proper rag joint and pump brackets. He said that he would call his partner and that he would deliver it the next day at 3:00. The next day at 2:45 he called my cell and said that they had a delay and he would deliver ar 6:00. I was at his booth at 5:45, and no one was there. At 6:00 I got a call , he said that again there was a delay, and he would deliver it to my hotel later that night. Guess what, he didn't. I went to the booth the next day on Saturday, and he had packed up and left, I talked to a the vendor next to his booth, and he said that Andrew waited until I was gone and then packed up everything and left.

The funny thing is that he called me on Monday next and told me that he found the proper brackets and that he would send me the new unit and that I should receive it by Wednesday. I don't know what Wednesday he was referring to, because it is 4 weeks and I haven't received it yet. The sad thing is that Andrew seems to be a sincere and a good person, but actions show what his real Character is.

I got duped by this Andrew sob too. Been waiting for my parts since beginning of August. He gave me all the bs stories of three day shipping and then he gave me bogus tracking #'s. He also said he would personally deliver the parts to my door. But he never showed even though he called me twice to tell me he was a halfhour away. Our saving grace is that we ordered with credit card through PayPal and they are returning our money into our PayPal account. If I see this knucklehead at the Long Beach swap again I'll make sure everyone there will know what a crook he is.

60tbirdrick This guy needs a good kick in the teeth. I noticed he doesn't show up at Carlisle anymore. Don't pay cash for stuff like this, use a credit card so you can get your money back. I was lucky. I can pretty much bet you will not see your steering box again.
