The A-arms at my M II front end (Fat Man Stage III, no top hats on this, but still the same A arms like the kit with top hats) measure from center pivot bolt to center ball joint, standard (not narrowed):
Upper: app 8"
Lower app 13 1/4"
But be aware that the measurments was a little hard to get accurate, because the suspension is mounted.

I think you might have started in the wrong end by changning the top hats. Because those were the only components you have measured and found was positioned correct (side to side, anyway. Anti dive angle it's another story).
I has to be your A arms that are messed with in some way. They don't look correct at all. Way to narrow.
If you dont already have the specs, I can measure mine (tubular, Fat Man, standard width) tonight.

OK, FOR ANYONE STILL FOLLOWING THIS, WHAT I HAVE DONE IS TO CUT ABOUT AN INCH FROM THE TOPHATS AND THAT ALLOWS ME TO ADJ. THE CAMBER ALL THE WAY. I HAVE NOT FINISHED THIS YET, JUST GOT A NEW MIG TO FINISH UP. THIS SEEMS LIKE ITS GOING TO WORK OK, THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP..................DON

hi andy, u r right, there are no springs, they are coil overs, and not correct for the front end, i am looking for some springs now to give it a try, the weight is sitting on where the shock is hitting the the bottom arm, thanks don

I would look into getting dimensions for Heidt's tubular control arms for example and compare those specs to what you have on the car. If you lenthened the lower arms to fix the camber, it still looks like the uppers could hit. It also looks like the coil spring is not fitting down over the seat on the lower control arm.

From what I can see there is no way those upper control arms can work with the top hats that are installed. Even if the hats were mounted more inboard and the a arms were adjusted toward the outboard end of the slots, it looks like they would still hit, or be very close. There doesn't appear to be much of any anti-dive built in either.
