ottosnova Looking at current posts on the Facebook page for the business, it looks like someone else who was swindled went to the shop and is stating that the business looks empty and abandoned. I don't know how true that persons statement is but it looks like this iteration of the business (classic steering supply) might disappear soon.

Powercraft Steering & Brakes

Today is June 2, 2014. As of today I have not been paid and have not heard anything from Andrew Gonzalez concerning a refund. The rack I purchased elsewhere is still in the car and I have had no problems of any kind with it. Wonder why it still works since Andrew stated I was using the wrong power steering pump. Could it be another of his excuses? Since my attorney fees were adding up too fast and Andrew moved from his home in Wildomar I was afraid I would never be reimbursed, so I asked my attorney to stop working on the case until further notice. I will be checking the information about his new name and location before contacting her again with the updated info. Looks like the fight is going into another round and I am looking for a KO.

ottosnova Ted,

I have continued to do some searching and I am going to list everything I have found so far.

After realizing that I have very likely been scammed I called the Spring Carlisle organizers and the person on the phone asked me if I called yesterday. This made it clear to me that I was not the only person having a problem.

In addition I went on his company's Facebook page and saw several complaints posted. When I added my complaint to the page they were all deleted. Someone is actively deleting complaints since two more popped up and then were deleted. Fortunately I have screen grabs of most of them. Also on the Facebook page there is a picture of his shop (at the address I posted previously.) which shows the name Advance Steering Supply as the name of the business (I have attached the photo).

When searching online for Advance Steering Supply, the following pages come up with several more people stating the same problems that I faced and others in this thread. The range of dates goes from 2011 to 2013.

Complaints for Advance Steering Supply | 100105924 | Business Consumer Alliance

HubGarage.com - Beware Advance Steering Supply, Lake Elsinore, CA

I don't have the screen grabs of the complaints from Facebook available to me right now, but I will try to attach the other complaints later tonight.

Interestingly, the person I spoke to said he was not listed as a vendor and must have bought the booth spot from someone else. They are trying to figure out which booth spot he was occupying.

Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide. Also I plan on filing a complaint with the Attorney General of California.

MODS: Since this man appears to have scammed many people over the last several years I would ask that the thread title be changed from its current title to something along the lines of Powercraft Steering and Brakes/Advance Steering Supply/Classic Steering Supply so people can know the various names the company has changed to over the years.

Andrew Gonzalez

Ottosnova.......
Thanks for the information. Now I can go after him again, along with some legal backup. I am not going to play his tough punk games and will be prepared.
Thanks again, Ted

As for the posts concerning his work, all I can say is BEWARE. About all he does is repaint the parts and tries to pass them off as rebuilt or new. The last steering rack he brought me was never touched internally. When I opened it, I found the nylon cups inside the rack were deteriorated and broken. The shaft was an old worn one that had been painted. The air bypass line was disconnected and he never put the spacers back in the unit, so the wheels hit the fenders when I made a sharp turn.
Andrew is a poor excuse for a rebuilder and a man. He is a gang banging punk living off his fathers good reputation. I suggest anyone that wants steering rebuild work done, find another shop that knows what they are doing.
I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and a trouble free New Year.
This man is still at it. He has renamed the company to Classic Steering Supply. I have seen him named as Andrew here. On Facebook he is going by the name Andres Yayo Gonzalez. He was at Spring Carlisle this year and unfortunately I didn't find any of this until after I paid for a 1957 steering box in cash. He has repeatedly told me the item was shipped and the tracking number he gave me after four weeks of calling him repeatedly shows it was delivered to somewhere 5 states away. Nothing he says is true.

The current business information is:

31949 Corydon St. Suite 110 Lake Elsinore CA 92530
951-674-9424

Careful doing unauthorized work on it- you wouldn't want to void your warranty...

Recieved my rebuilt steering box from Powercraft!

Hey Guys - This guy did finally come through. I've been e-mailing him about my 56 steering box for a little over a month now and he called me out of the blue last week to deliver it. We hooked up and he delivered my rebuilt steering box.
