slow'n'steady I've been running the Pro-Comp on my SBF for over a year now with an MSD 6A and haven't had any problems. It's a nitrous motor putting about 500~ to the wheels...

Custom10 wait it too is a skip supplied not summit I still want to know however, I am leaving mine in, a million gear heads can't be wrong.

Custom10 Another thread is asking about another suspiciously similar HEI from summit his has fancy clear cap, wants to know about vac can adjustment, so do I, if we figure out what type of advance can adjustment they are either when or how much it puts in or both we can cover half the HEI can adjustments questions on the planet...mass production madness Hippie is there a prize for the right answer? lol

I can do that but not until next week, my buddy is racing this weekend. I'm going to cover the area on each distributor where the MSD label is, take side by side pics with both in the shot and then you guys tell me which is which. I'll probably start a new post. It should be interesting.

Mine was in a clear plastic blister inside the dorky no name pink box and his was in a styrofoam packagng inside a box with fancy graphics and MSD plastered all over it, that is the ONLY difference. Take it for what it's worth but I paid $49.99, he paid $129.99 and he is PO'd!

We're just a few "dominoes" from being there already.......Even when we think we're buying "homegrown" products we probably aren't.

Custom10 I knowledgeable bud of mine once ask me if mine was a MSD, maybe there is no difference, maybe it is the same unit? yea-sh more out sourced cheap labour profit blindness? Could it be that we are heading towards a user only north America were it all comes from "over there" and we should just accept this and bolt it on....crap but I have one...I digress

Wasting money isn't what concerns me, White offers a Lifetime warranty on the dizzys sold by them. What concerns me is that if the gear or bearings are of inferior quality, the dizzy could grenade at high RPM's and destroy my entire engine.

I'm just not convinced the White dizzy is any different than the Summit or Jegs version.

Custom10 I also have one of skips 50 dollar HEI's and have not had any issues with it what so ever, it was on my old 350 now a 383, works fine and seems to be well built. The box it came in was brand marked TSP or total street performance and yes made in china, claims to be a 65ooo volt coil. Anyhow so far so good.

my87Z i can't lie i bought one from skip white a while back for my motor before i knew much about pro comp, and it didn't say pro comp on site either but it does say it on the box. mine was more like 60.00 and i have been running it on a street/strip 385 for almost a year now with no problems. even though it has worked for me, knowing what i know now about pro comp i probably wouldn't buy another

Jr. Mechanic The one from Skip White actually doesn't say ProComp anywhere. I'd like to know who manufactured it though, as well as the Summit and Jegs units.
