(83-Chevy Silverado)I was trying to wire my amp today and discovered 2 wires coming from my driver side seat belt. I haven't been able to see exactly where they start or end...1 is black with a white stripe and goes to the fuse block, the other has an orange and white wire running side by side, which goes toward the glove box..I can't find them on the diagram I have..anyone know what these wires go to?
The orange and white wires are usually for the courtesy lamps. It probably runs up into a junction in the cab corner behind the driver. At that junction it branches out to the bed light and switch.
ground is the white wire, but it is only grounded when a door switch is extended(door opened)or when thr headlight switch knob is rotated all the way til it clicks,
then it grounds this white wire
to make the dome light light up
seat belt wires almost always black or close to it
they are probably ground circuit wires.
not positive on that
