ericnova72 I would expect it to or be very close.

badazzbowtie do you think that this combo should get me around the 600 hp range?
06-21-2010 10:46 PM
ericnova72 I'm assuming you want a solid roller as that is what you said the heads are set-up for. Something like 260-264 intake duration, 264-268 exhaust duration @ ,050" (maintain a 4 split between intake and exhaust), .650" In-.630" Ex lift, 108 lobe seperation, installed at 105 intake centerline(3 advanced).

badazzbowtie alright. 4:11 gear ratio. going to be running some slicks havent picked any up yet but its the plan. will see street part of the time like a sunday cruizer not everyday. looking to build about 600 hp rev no more than 7000 but i doubt it'll see 7000 too long

ericnova72 How high do you want to rev it?? What rpm torque peak?? What converter stall?? What rear gear?? 1/4 or 1/8 mile Drag?? Street use at all?? Tire size??

The more info the better.

badazzbowtie anything else that you need to know?
06-20-2010 03:32 PM
badazzbowtie going into a 3rd generation camaro. i have a 400 turbo tranny built for up to 1000 hp (dont plan on goin that high but its beter to have more than enough just in case) 9 in rear end build by autoweld specificaly for the camaro

i have a rotating asymb. and everything is forged and h-beam rods

was looking at e-85 as a cheaper alternative to race gas
06-20-2010 10:55 AM
ericnova72 You haven't given us enough info on the engine, or the vehicleand weight, and transmission/rear gearing, or the intended us to help you much as far as picking a cam or any other part. Fill in the blanks.

techinspector1 Will require E85 or race gas. Will need long cam to prevent making so much cylinder pressure that you can't keep head gaskets in the motor, in the area of 260 degrees @ 0.050" tappet lift, solid flat tappet or solid roller tappet. Will make power 4000 to 7500, so will need some good parts in the motor. Figured your static compression ratio at 12.73:1. Alternative might be shorter cam with more street-friendly cam timing with copper head gaskets and o-rings. Dynamic compression ratio would be outa-sight.

There must be some roundy-round guys on here that can give you a better answer than I have. Those guys deal with 12.73 and alcohol every Saturday night.
