If you give me the BOM number off the Dana 70 I can tell you which inner pinion brg you have. It is located either on the tag thats bolted on the rear cover. Or if thats gone, on the rear of the pass side axle tube. Your looking for a 6 Digit number that starts with a 6.

Also for your Dana 70 you might look at a Spicer gear set as a option also.

big gear head I've been selling and installing Yukon gears for many years now and they are as good as any other gears. I've had a few of them that made some noise, but I've also had US Gear, Motive Gear, Richmond and others that made noise. Every now and then you will get a gear that makes a little noise no matter who made it. Most of the Yukon gears that I have installed were quiet. The thing about Yukon is that they will tell you up front if the gear that you are asking about will make noise or not. They have them listed as noisy or quiet.

Yukon gears

I've searched the archives and found a lot of folks pleased with these rear gear sets. Is this still true?

Need to do a couple of rears, a 9" and a dana 70, both will be street trucks with highway use and naturally the 1 ton will be towing. I have no desire to listen to a noisy gear set in something I'm riding a lot on the street so Richmond is out.

Thanks for all thoughts,
Tony
