oldred What Boatbob said but ANYTIME you have your hands near the pulleys or even have the guard removed TURN OFF THE BREAKER!!!!! Accidents DO happen and I personally know a guy with a crippled right hand because he tugged at the belts with the power on, sure enough it started!

compressor help

Hi,when mine did that,i turned the pulley by hand, while i sprayed the motor with WD-40,i think it just needed a little lube,2 years later,it still runs fine.of course if your motor is wiped out, time for a new motor...stay away from harbor freight electric motors.

Compressor not Running

I have a Campbell Hausfeld compressor from Sears that was running fine and then I didnít use it for a few months. I went to use it about a month ago and it just would not run. Whenever I switch it on it sounds like the electric motor is straining and trying to run but it doesnít do anything except make the sound like its trying to turn. It does this for about 5 seconds and then the breaker cuts out. I know the circuit in our house is not a problem because we used the compressor for about 5 years on it. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this compressor?
