DoubleVision When these break I`ve used a pick tool and just spin it out. Trying to use a easy out was a big mistake and now you see why. I`ve also removed them with a small flat tip screw driver. You may want to take it to the machine shop and let them get it out. More than likely the hole will have to be retapped if the threads got damaged and they likely did.

LATECH It can be taken out . Try a small chisel to the edge of the easy out to see if you can loosen it enough to jiggle it out. Its a pretty hard chunk of steel so it may chip a little . try to loosen it by tapping it in the direction that the easy out will back out.If it is a square fluted design all you need to do is get it loose and you might be able to lift it out. Worst case scenario would be to drill out the broken stem of the unit by drilling a series of holes all the way around it so you can gain enough clearance to knock it loose in its hole.I doubt you will have to go that far but if so it can be kind of tediuos to perform.

OOPS can this be fixed

Ok heres the deal I bought a 350 from a friend and why we was pulling it out the sending unit got caught on something and broke off flush in the block so then we took an easy out and tried that and it broke off to,so the question is how can I get this out and can a machine shop do it if so how much could it cost to get it out.
