What I have gathered is that it isn't for bare metal.
Can anyone with experience with this primer help me? ,,,Thanks.

i use it in my body shop all the time,im not aware of it being dis?

i buy it by the gallon all the time.

it mixes 4-1 and you can reduce it 4-1-1 if not using it as a total fill primer.

it sands great and the dry times are decent.

i use the MH283 in all around weather,in hot i use the MH284.

i haves used this primer for around 2 years(everyday) and have had great results and it doesn't shrink bad either.

hope this helps,Travis

do not use direct to bare metal, epoxy first
