bentwings Definitely make sure your exhaust is tight. I use solid copper gaskets everywhere and double nut the collectors. Even a slight air leak will affect the readings.

I also let the 02 sensor warm up before starting. Mine goes to 22.4 when ready when the motor is cold.

Once in a great while mine will lock at 15.1. I just stop and shut the motor off and restart. Usually this happens if I don't let it warm up before the first start of the day.

Overdriv It sounds like you might be getting air infiltration into the exhaust stream. That will make the AFR run lean.

You did recalibrate with the sensor removed from the pipe, right?

bfitz241 yeah, I knew their site was down...kinda hoping someone else would have an opinion ...always helps to have input. I plan to try again this weekend and see how it goes.

Sinister Innovate has a forum at their website that can be helpful. It seems to be down until September 1st though. Those LM-2's seem to have a rep for being kind of fickle.

Innovate Lm 2 question

I had to send my LM 2 back to Innovate because it started reading inconsistently[ channel 2 was all over, from 7 : 1 to 64 : 1 AFR] It started that after I updated the firmware.

Anyway, I got it back, it calibrates fine [20.9 both channels].

My problem/question:

At idle it's reading 16:1, same at light throttle cruise.
When I tried to richen the idle screws, the engine started running worse and the exhaust started to burn my eyes.

Has anyone seen an LM 2 read incorrectly or should I look at the ignition?

it idles at 800, plugs are a little gray, but not terminal. I'm not driving it except around the block until I get the basic tune straight

It is very frustrating when you can't trust your equipment.
