acdcontheroad I TOOK THE PAN OFF AND RECHECKED THE VALVES AND NONE SEEM TO BE STUCK. iF i HAD DAMAGED ONE OF THE OIL SEALS ON THE SHAFT SEATING THE PUMP DOWN, COULD THAT BE CAUSING THE LOCK UP? i REMEMBER THE PUMP NOT SEATING AND USED A MALLET TO TAP IT DOWN. ANY POINTERS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.

Anybody have any ideas on what I can do next to solve this problem?

Iwould suspect something wrong in the pump - stator area that is cross leaking oil to lock up the clutch in the converter.

Perhaps a stuck lock up valve?
