Chris Kemp The volare had a new style of front suspension that was unlike any of the torsion bar suspensions before it. The torsion bar went from side to side instead of lengthwise and everything including the upper control arms was contained in the cross member. It is a good suspension because you can adjust the ride height and with the exception of the upper shock mounts everything is contained in the cross member. I have put a few of these underneath some older ford, dodge and chevy pick up trucks. They are a little on the heavy side but they do well under a day to day driver. I believe aspens and diplomats of the same years had the same type front suspension. If yours is in really bad shape just swap out the complete crossmember from a good donor.

Volare Wagon Susp Parts

Looking at a 78 Volare Wagon ....low bux but needs some front suspension work....are other MoPar K members and other front suspension parts interchangeable? from various models ? Duster? Valiant ? maybe... rest of car is fairly good shape with little or no rust but front undercarriage is a mess...advice from some Mopar fans would be nice....thanks
