327NUT The real sad deal is all the unknowing customers that paid in full up front and got partial shipments and are still owed parts to complete their cars. I know there are some pretty unscrupulous people in the world, just can't see how you can treat folks this way. I really hope this Levin guy gets his butt thrown in prison, he really deserves the chaos and constant danger that resides in that atmosphere.

JGK95 Nobody bought the molds of the Streetbeasts cars? Weird that they were passed on?

Wondering why?

Do you think someone else will open up shop using those molds?

Check out lots 406 through 419.

Sad day for my hopes at finding a new shell for our convertible.

JGK95 Looking through all 24 pages now. Hopefully an undeveloped convertible body shows up on the pages or ebay!

We should pool a couple bucks and bid online for a trophy item, or all of it and then put some of it back up for member auction. There are members close enough to drive down..

ChevelleSS_LS6 Go Jon!

Keep on rockin!

Chopt 48 Good to hear that you are gaining ground on this Jon and the end appears to be in sight.

I've been around the car game for a long time and lost track of how many name changes and somewhat identity changes that that company has had before it became Streatbeasts. The methods were always the same from the get go. Flashy adds and brochures that get one to put down a big deposit and then hope to get a kit out of them in a reasonable time if at all.

There are plenty of honest shops with honest owners who turn out quality products for what usually end up being reasonable prices in the end and support what they sell that need peoples business.

I'd suggest that anyone intent on buying a kit car go to a national caliber event for the style of car he/she is looking for and be prepared to buy a display kit or body at the event. You can see what you are getting then and there and haul it home at the end of the event.

DV447 Jon,
My first post here, but not my first contact with Mr. Levin. I hope all the work, sleepless nights are really starting to pay off. Why he wont "wake up" is beyond me? I personally know a few of the people that Mr. Levin tried to "shut-up". Didn't work then either.

I hope what I am reading here IS the beginning of, "The End".

My congratulations to you AND this forum. I wish you all well. I will post a link to the Club Cobra Forums where Mr. Levin is well known. "We" helped bring down Mr. Levin. "The first time(?)"-( Another frivolous law suit by Levin vs Scott, about CMC/Fiberfab) Thousands of dollars, thousands of hours but he eventually lost! "We" thought he was gone then!

May you and "your community" put a final stake in Mr. Levins business practices. Congratulations and please don't stop!

The older I get, the worse the economy gets, the poorer I get, but I can do a couple bucks once in a while, especially for someone who stands up for Free Speech. The new guy's kind of inspirational..

Good to know you Billy..

Y'all have a great holiday.. Duntov

Well said, Dewey. What some folks don't know and I am not sure Jon would like folks to know, he is a very private person also, is that this lawsuit has virtually drained ALL his assets, everything. So he is not looking to make money through sympathy, but just getting back to square one would be good, and he's a long way from that. Need to send out a nice Christmas present to a well deserving person? Here you go. Jon, if I have offended you, I'm sorry, but most folks don't realize how far you have taken this fight and the cost to you. I'd love for folks to step up and let's get this done, then maybe we can work on a bank to help others, a money and knowledge bank. Free speech isn't necessarily free! Dan

This is a good point, Billy, and one which needs to be understood. Rich folk like Levin KNOW they can't win these suits under normal circumstances. But they also know that they have the money to pay lawyers while most web site owners, like Jon, do not have the financial resources to stay in court for the full fight. In other words, Levin could potentially bankrupt Jon through a LONG and drawn out legal battle. Court battles are very expensive.

What guys like Levin count on is that guys like Jon will fold their cards and remove from their web site whatever the rich guy doesn't particularly like...whether it be the truth or simply someones opinion.

What Levin didn't realize is the Jon is a staunch advocate of the freedom of speech...not just HIS freedom but the freedom of each and every one of us here on HR.Com who depend on one another to get good info on a company before we invest our hard earned bucks in their product.

Jon is winning this battle and he is winning it for us. That is why I contribute and that is why I encourage others to contribute.

JGK95 Jon,

What's the latest on the lawsuit? With Levin, going to jail and in all likelyhood, SB never producing another car, (as far as I can tell) does this company even exist anymore?

All of the people that worked there that I knew I believe are now gone.

* Mike S. who's on here was lead fabricator over there.
* Bob Southern, Acting President of day to day business and a gentleman
who's usually responsive to my father hasn't returned my calls.
* Tony - fabricator who worked with Mike S.
etc.

So who's keeing the lights on, and carrying on the lawsuit against this site?

I think the company's gone am I wrong?

Please update,

Jay K.

ps. Anyone know of an unfinished SB '34 convertible kit, LET ME KNOW. I'm a buyer!
