|thirteen20z28||Another affordable option might be to use an LT1 intake on your Gen I 383. Google "lt1 intake swap", there's a few articles about it. I think the biggest hurdle is machining a hole and spacer for the distributor, but if your school has a machine shop, you're set.|

I know that TPI is barely enough for a 305, but I would like to install one on my 383. Im in tech school and will be in the high performance class in a month. They have EVERYTHING necessary to program, port, dyno. Like I said.. everything. I want to get a tpi system, port it where necessary, install bigger injectors and throttle body and dyno/tune it. I would just get a holley stealth ram, but they are expensive. Im sure I can get a stock tpi close to where a stealth ram is, right? This is a street car where tourqe matters the most.
Does anyone have any info onto why the tpi is such a restriction, ie the areas that need focusing on? Thanks!
