Hey all, I'm looking for input and recommendations for 12 volt compressors. It will be for occasional use for a 3-5 gal tank to blow an air horn...harbor crap good enough?..... thanks

Those 12v Hf compressors should work fine for air horns...I doubt they would last very long but at twenty bucks there cheap enough to replace every once and a while...I was going to buy two to hook up to my air bag system, they're suppose to pump up to 160 lbs...We'll see.
They might even have the whole air horn system, just use the horns you want..

Junkyard - Lincoln or Cadillac air suspension compressors work well and are high pressure too. I have 2 wired in together to double the volume. Use 10 gauge wire with a couple of aligator clips to hook up to the battery. I have another hard wired in my RV with a Freightliner air tank mounted on the frame to have constant air pressure on the road.

Thanks for the responses...all good  I like the idea of the junk yard...though lately, those guys think everything is gold :drunk: ...that's a whole 'nother rant...I did make a couple of horns using the plans I got off ebay. Go to youtube and type in "pvc train horns". The guys name on there is dozerboymiller. I made a couple, and they really are loud...even with just blowing by mouth. I will have to post a video up of mine soon. :D
Thanks again,
James
