I have a far from being a hot rod 93 jeep cherokee that i use for a play rig. I couldnt find help anywhere else hope to find it here. My wiper motor has 4 wires coming out of it. Red, brown, black with green stripe and green with black stripe. Wanting to know how to wire these to a simple toggle switch, or what kindve switch to use so i can have a high and a low maybe. A wiring diagram or any help would be appriciated thanks
The wire colors you provided don't check out with any available diagrams.
But this may help.
Referring to the posted diagram;
A black wire is indicated. This is ground. It may be the motor housing or a separate black wire.
The red/yellow wire is high speed.
The Brn/white wire is low speed.
The remaining wires and symbols are the park switch etc. that won't be used.
You only need to connect the wires leading to the motor.
Using a single pole, double throw, center off toggle switch connect the center (common) terminal of the switch to 12 volt + fused.
Connect the red/yellow wire to one of the remaining terminals.
Connect the brn/white wire to the other terminal.
Some wiper motors are wired with a hot wire to the motor, and the switch grounds one or the other terminal to ground it and make it operate. Not sure if the Jeep is this type of a setup?
