matts37chev it should be fine, we powder coat lots of alum. parts.

i love that stuff, we just had the wheels on my daughters scion done a dark translucent purple over silver metallic.

my son has all his bmx parts done, including alum wheels.
he is hard on parts, and it doesnt seem to affect them!

the powder coater will want to sand blast the parts to make the powder stick (it needs to be roughed up)

1800guy I have no knowledge on safe bake temps for the aluminum, but I would certainly not sand-blast the frame. For my money, soda blasting is the only way to go on aluminum. Easy clean-up, and no pitting or distortion.

Safe to Powder Coat Alum. Bicycle Frame

I have a aluminum bicycle frame I want to repaint or have been considering powder coating.
Is it safe to sand blast and cure at 400 degrees 6061 aluminum tube?
