Anyone have any cool suggestions?

I want to put mirrors on my '54 Chevy pickup but I don't like the repo's made for a number of reasons.

I'm wondering if I can get away with something like this and be able to see:

Has anyone done anything different with side view mirrors on an old pickup truck successfully?

Thanks.

I love the look of the mirrors on my coupe, but I can't see diddly out of them. Now if I could steal Alan's idea of the cameras, mount them somewhere where they don't take away from the old look, pop the screen out with some Velcro, I'd be set. Alan, keep us posted on the cameras, please? I was cruising up 99 the other day, had to make a quicky lane change that didn't happen real quickly, made me quite nervous. Thankfully, no cars were close by. Dan

If you're looking for great quality, look at the peep mirrors from LeBarron Bonney. Look at their part number CNX-18414-LR. This is a pair of peep mirrors at $72.50 per pair. Here's the link:PEEPS

Hey, Dan

Here's where I'm at so far:
Cameras Mounted On the License Plate Frame

Cameras You Can Install Yourself

And Here's A Monitor

Also, CarToys.com has more options.

I'm curious to see what you end up with. I missed the camera thing and I read the whole thread??? BTW, I just got the button parts you need. I'll send them tomorrow.

Check out the Camera Thread Here, Dan

Thanks for the button parts. I'll let you know when they arrive. I should be putting my buffalo hide seats in this month ... then carpeting ... then I start working on the door panels, overhead console (with side/rear view camera view), etc.
