troy-curt Just around the edges, If you don`t damage the vinyl you should be able to save it. I`ve never seen one come off yet that could be saved. I`n not sure how the trim comes off, but you must be careful, and not damage the old as it is it`s very brittle. HtH

Re-using a vinyl top

I need to do some what shouldn't be more than minor body work on a 77 Lincoln, but it's right at the edge of the vinyl top. The vinyl itself is still in great shape, so is there any way to peel it back just enough to fix the body, then re-attach it? I don't believe there's any foam padding between the vinyl and the body, if that makes any difference. How do I get the trim around the vinyl off without doing any damage? If I have to take the whole top off, is it possible to save it and put it back on myself? I have more time than money right now, so any help would be great.
