MARTINSR I remember hammering my channels onto the glass using that rubber years ago. Next time, it will be a bed of urethane. Just install everything, but the channel, run a bead of urethane in it and install it rolling up the glass to set until the next day, WHAM, done deal.
That is how it is done today.

57 3100 truck door glass rubber channel insert

I am redoing my doors and glass. For setting windows there is setting tape, which my originals had. I noticed LMC has listed a rubber channel insert for the door glass and vent glass, part# 38-6118. Wonder if that is original, or just a better, more modern approach for setting the glass in the frames.
