Gosh that one was really easy for me....it just kind of fits into the slot..biggest problem I had was the centering of the item cause each time I ran it around the ends came off center at a different spot. sorry..... It does bulge a bit in the center top where it goes over the center chrome strip but is not noticeable...seems when I build them I always notice things no one else seems too notice.
Hey tell me a little about your '37....what you running for drive train? Is your interior stock? or Later model...I am trying to make mine look as original as possible and am just about ready too paint. I have original seats 're-done' door panels and headliner to match but just a little updates with door pull straps and have picked a PPG gold which I plan on topping with several coats of clear if I can get to it next week. I have Chevy gunning gear and have been somewhat faithful about the over all stock look....but I am toying with putting wood on the outside like that ad that US Radiator has perhape you saw the picture in their adds in NSRA and Goodguys ...I talked to that guy he has a real story about the wood install.
Where are you living? I am in Denver...Did you seee the 37 in this months NSRA Streetscne magazine? powder blue with crazy feathers

Thanks for the responce Wally, but I am not sure we are talking about the same seal. I am referring to one that seals the crank out windshield assy. not the individual glass seals. Do you know the one I am referring to?

|wally||I have several 37 windahields...the best of which I was able to rechrome and use. But my experiences is that every one seems to have a different sealing material. Your after market type is basically a strip which you fold and insert into the channel with the glass. 'My glass guy' [a bit of a flake] did not use this after market item and went with some liquid black glass sealing stuff he uses everwhere. Seems to be working okay so far. Anyway your real problem getting the glass out is sticky...glass; as it gets older; gets harder and it will be easy too break. I suggest you think of getting new glass and take the thing to a glass person...might be a hundred or so but money well spent if you have a hassel with getting the old one out ...might just get them out 'however' and replace as needed from there.|

Windshield seal installation, 37 Ford Coupe
I am installing a new windshield seal on my 37 Ford Coupe, and I want to confirm the install instructions, or find out how to before I damage anything.
Do I remove the outside frame that has the clips over the splits, and if so I just pry it out?
Thanks in advance for any advice, or suggestions.
