|Chazmac||13 vane pumps are designed to keep the 300mm converters full at road speed. Additionally they are the most prone to break the rotor under high load or increased horsepower. Use a 10 vane; they worked flawlessly for years.|

no problems with a 13 vane set up. 10 will work just fine.
Set clearance of the rotor at .0015 - .002 for best results with flat surfaces in the pump and the stator cover is flat - smooth too

Early 87 700R4 7 VANE PUMP TO 13 VANE UPGRADE
Is there any issues that I should be concerned about with upgrading the 7 vane pump to the latest 13 vane pump kit. I assume that it is better than the 10 vane kit.
