wow... where do i start...

well....i am in the middle of stabbing a 1994 caprice LT1 engine into a "customer's" 95 firebird that is in our shop right now..

i notice that the B body balancer sticks out away from the front of the opti spark module alot more than on the F body one

or maybe its vice versa... i keep forgetting without looking at them.

the point is that i can put my fingers between the front face of the optispark and the back of the balancer pulley. and on the other LT1 i cant do that at all necause there is alot smaller of a gap space there,

what is the deal with this and does this mean the accessories are not going to line up? B and F body ones are different distance from front of engine???

im gonna have ot swap the balancer hub for the F body one?

i hope not.....

how the hell am i gonna get it off there?

i already tried to pull it once in order to get the engine to clear the rad support to get it out of the car and it would not budge

even with a torch

what now?

i now officially hate LT1 engines and think they are a total nightmare disaster and stupid design. why do ppl like these engines? or do they really not like them?

oh and i now have a pair of original 70k miles stock aluminum firebird LT1 heads for sale that i now dont want anything to do with anymore since i now hate these stupid engines

i also have a ton more parts from the same engine to get rid of, or are going into the scrap shredder when i go to BEHR Peoria real soooon.,,,,,

thanks for anything!!

LT1's are great, But Like the q jet they are shunned by folks who don't KNow how to work on em, Now , to your Question.
The 94-95 b body pulley is different from the 96 b body pulley , and the 93-95 f body is different from the b body, and the 96-97 is different , the difference in all is in the hub, the pulley is the same assy brackets are different too. and years and car specific.
