notching 66 stangs shock towers

hey there just looking for some help on swapping out my 302 in my 66 stang for a 351w and trying to find out if i should shave my towers ,but i do want to keep my original suspension ,thank you for any help

Welcome to the site, you don't have to do anything to the shock towers it's just going to be tight with whatever headers you choose. And also in most cases when a 351w is added you might have to do a hood scoop to compensate for the difference in deck height. JMO I don't know if they still do or not but you could get headers just for this swap at one time, Hooker had some but not cheap. headman headers will work but you will have to dimple them in a few places to get a decent fit. IMHO
They also make after-market shock towers also for the bigger engine swaps too. :cool:
