V8 S-10 Just for the record there are 3 different length rods used in
stock smallblock Chevys
262-350s have 5.7 rods
400s have 5.565 rods
the 94 and later 265 v8s have 5.94 rods

jimfulco Or take the cap off, stand the rod upright on a table, and measure how high off the table the center of the small hole is. Unless the motor's still together. If it's a factory stock 350, they are 5.7". If it's been hotrodded before, it's anybody's guess as to rod length or even displacement.

66chev If you are trying to find out if it is 6" or 5.7" etc. you can measure the distance between the large end hole and the small end hole, then add 1/2 the diameter of the large hole and 1/2 the diameter of the small hole, this will give you the rod length.
