Hey.

Hi. Just found this forum while looking for Cam Dynamics info (I thought they'd been bought by Crane) and a quick glance made me interested in registering. Saw a few names I know. My name is Tom Joy. All my cars have been named Meatball and all are STICK. Yeah, I break stuff. Been an NHRA member 40 yrs or so. I have two gearhead sons and one semi-gearhead daughter, and one other son that would rather drive tanks. I still have my first car, 66 SS Chevelle, and am currently working on Meatball V. It is Malcolm Durhams old Strip Blazer IX, one of the SRD Vegas. I, like all of us, am not too fat in the wallet so I am putting together a pump gas 638 with and older holley pro-ram and 2 Dominators, a Doug Nash torque tube 5 speed(set up as 4 spd), with the Ram clutch. 1950 lbs wet....without me. Should be some real fun, especially with a 96" wheelbase. No electronic crap either. Hand brake for the launch. I think I will have rev limiter though. Never had one of them before so I might make valve springs last a little longer. My oldest son has the black Syclone that won the Bowling Green meet in 09, first time at the track. He's into all the new stuff and while I like a 128 channel Fast system just fine, I'm old school. I'm gonna try to upload a couple pics. See ya at the track. Tom.
