DanTwoLakes The bobbin thread will always pull freely. To release the top thread, you have to raise the foot far enough to release the tension disks on your top tension either by raising it with the knee lift as far as it will go, or using the lever on the back of the machine to hold the foot up.

Consew 225 top thread breaks when removing material from under foot

I am having problems with the top thread breaking when I try to remove the material from under the foot. The bobbin thread pulls freely but the top thread breaks? can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
