itsandre Cool, save me some cash. It does sit nice in the front. The rear I might add air shocks to lift it just a bit after I replace the rubber frame mounts that are allsqwished. Want it to look old school hot rod.
I have all the parts for the front end including control arm bushings. Never done those before. Hope they's ain't to bad to do.

I have done the 6 cylinder to SBC changeover many times in 55 to 57 Chevrolet's and a few 68/72 Chevrolet Novas and never HAD to change the springs. IF ... it sits like you like it ... I most definitely would not change the coil springs.

Front coil springs 62 impala

I'm getting ready to replace all the suspention components in the front end of y 62 Impala. Tie rods, balljoints, control arm bushngs and so on.
Originaly the car had an inline 235 and I swapped it to a SB 350. It apears to sit okay but I'm not sure if I should replace the coil springs. If I'm going to have this all apart I want to know if I need to swap the springs? Perhaps they are tiered as they are original but is there a differance from 6 cyl to an 8?
