So I am putting this 355 together and most of all want it to last. Its been a while since I have done this. Performance wise, I always used Clevite bearings for rods and mains. Whats the trick setup now? I see Summit has some competition bearings, Durashield, with some kind of trick coating on them. Whos using what?

I am using almost all ACL now. Never liked King as they had a high stress de-lamination issue (quality controll?) a few years back.
Federal Mogul, if you like aluminum bearings. A lot of Fed-Mog is re-boxed from someone else. Later Clevite quality was suffering, up till Mahle bought the rights and started making them. I try to find production dates from pre 1990. Have also used Mahle bearings. Excellent.
