I found an 1/8" pipe tube and a cap to fit over it. If i use just a plug without an extension tube, because of the design, the oil would run all over the top of the compressor. I think they added the short tube as an after thought.
Anyway, I hope the tube with the cap will work, it is pipe threads.

Thanks

another Kobalt compressor ?

I have a Kobalt K7060HFV and I just put a reed valve assembly on it. I decided to go ahead and change the oil but in doing so the case that the brass/copper drain tube screws into stripped out. It looks like they only had about 2 maybe 3 threads in the case and about 3/8" of thread on the brass tube. Go Figure..
Anyway, has anyone had this problem before and what did you do. I thought about just tapping it out a little larger and maybe just put a bolt in it. Anyone know what size threads is in the casing?
I will call the compressor people tomorrow but thought i would ask ya'll first.
Thanks for any help
