The cost of sheet metal today sue make "scrounging" for metal where you can find it very worth while. The rest of the piece with the stiffeners would make great patch panels for floors or trunks.

More patch panels
More metal working. The front corners of the turtle deck quarters are rotted (like most everything else on this car!). Howell's wants $45 + shipping for their patch panels.......not! I can make these myself.
What to use for sheetmetal
A quick scan of the 'free' section of my local craigslist produced this..........
Right after I grabbed that my neighbor tossed his old washing machine. Grabbed that one too!
Old appliances are great as the metal is 16ga (just a little thicker than factory sheetmetal) and the 90* reinforcing corners work really well for edge material.
I used the side panel from my neighbors washer.
You can see in this photo I also used washing machine metal for both inner fenders too.
