302 Z28 That is great news, and highly unusual for a company.

staleg Good news!
Got a mail from Pirate Jacks Hot rod and Restoration parts. They offered me a me a new master cylinder - sent to me in Norway. Because of the freigth costs I didn't have to return the leaky one.

That is just great customer service! Thumbs up for them!

eloc431962 I can understand that.

staleg -Because it is of aluminum and cost me 145 USD incl. freight.

Why not complain?
-I have, the store don't answer.

Why not just send it back?
-I live in Norway. Freight costs for sending the unit back, and they send me a new one will probably be close to, or higher, than the units value.

That's why I will give a rebuild a try first. If that doesnt cure the problem I'll buy a new, cast iron one.

eloc431962 Why not just buy a new M/C ?

What rebuild kit for Corvette MC?

I will try rebuilding my new, leaky, master cylinder.

It is an aluminum, "universal corvette" type.
MBM item number MC2912ACH, 1 1/8" bore for disc/disc application.

What year rebuld kit should I go for? I see some kits are intended for 67-76 while others are for 77-82. Both versions are available for 1 1/8" bore, power brakes.

I thought these masters and kits were the same?
What Corvette model years are the typical hot rod masters a copy of?

Yes, I know. I should ask the store were I bought it or MBM directly.
I have tried. None of them have answered so far...
