Hey all im undertaking a new project, Chevy Kodiak C4500 cab chassis truck the frame is heavily rusted from salt and winter corrosion, i have a east wood portable sand blaster. first question is how big of a air compressor do i need for sustained use? second is i had it set up for soda blasting and that didnt work always clogged up. today i bought 2 100lb bags of black beauty medium grit. but it seems to clog either in the manifold or in the tip i cant be sure but when it does work it works great im new to this sort of thing any advice would be wonderful, if anyone is local and knows what their doing feel free to drop in

Being the cheap SOB I am, I always find a way to recycle as much as possible. Mainly by trying to blast in a partially closed environment, sweeping up and screening the grit. You'd be surprised how far it will go...

i had to blast out doors, the truck is sitting up on the flat bed trailer, i put a canvas under it then tied it up to make a kinda channel for all the material to pass through, the 200 lbs i got about 3 uses out of before it turned to powder, went the next morning bout 500 lbs more only used 400 recycled all tht about 3 times till the job was done so i saved it all in a big metal trash can, painted the frame today turned out amazing cant wait to start ordering parts
