That being said, I'm not worried about cheeze. Let's be real, I have a Porsche with a SBC, Satin black paint with bright yellow checkered striping and a wing big enough to make a Honda jealous. I'm waaaaay past cheezy

Neighbors... who cares? Just kidding... I keep my foot out of it while in the neighborhood.

I took the video before the truck was warmed up so it was at a fast idle. When warm the cam is pretty prominant and it's not as loud. It's actually fairly quiet in the cab.

For me the exhaust needs to match the demeanor of the car.

I have purple hornie header mufflers with no tail pipes on my '69 SS Camaro. The wife and I really like the way it sounds... true to it's era. I put turnouts at the end of the muffler that help to direct the exhaust down and out to the side. Sorry, no audio clip..

On my C10 I built true duals using 30" long Cherry bombs with full length 2-1/2" tailpipes and long tube headers. Here is an audio clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYbRY...eature=mh_lolz

Exhaust Oppinions

I'm looking for a more aggressive sound. Not really louder but more grit. The opposite of the empty flow master sound. Here's my set up.

383 SBC Dart SHP Block. 10.74:1 Compression. Forged crank, rods, pistons.
Airwolf 220 CNC Heads (Flow 310cfm/220cfm@ max lift)
Lunati Voodoo Solid Roller 250*@0.050" / 0.604" lift
Ported and gasket matched Crosswind intake (FP1206)
Powerjection III Fuel Injection (TB Rated 930cfm)
Long tube headers 1 7/8 stepped to 2", 3.5" collectors
Collectors reduced to 3" into Magnaflow "X", then 2.5" out to dual Afterburner mufflers and turn downs in front of rear axle.

Here's a short video of her idling at 1000rpms. The afterburners are rated to flow well, and were cheap, however I'm not digging the sound. Would I loose much power ditching the X for straight duals? Or even purple hornies right on the headers?

Can't get video to embed... Here's the link

Thoughts? Thanks!
