You Guys Are Great To Talk, Excuse Me, Type To. Like Barry Meguire Says You Are Passionate About The Sport. It Is Impossible To Get An Audience But I Have Thought About Writing A Short Storey About My Brush With Death, The Fact That Doctors, Family Except For My Wife, Did Not Think I Would Ever Walk, See, Think, Etc. Ever Again. When Doctors Wanted To Bring Hospice To My Home My Wife Said No, When He Is Better He Will Not Like That. I Would Write The Storey Just To Give Others With Health Problems, Handicaps Etc. That With Faith, Hope, Hard Work And A Goal To Work For You Can Come Back. For Anyone That Might Not Know Bring Hospice In Is Liken To The Vultures Circling! Lets Start Another Stimulating Subject To Bounce Back And Forth, I.e. My Dream Hotrod Or Muscle Car, The Fastest I Have Ever Driven My Ride, A List Of All The Interesting Cars I Have Owned, A Brush With Hotrod Fame. There Is Another Dodge The Bullet Health Scare That I Have Not Told About, Nor The Really Close Nascar Connection I Used To Have. Too Much And Everyone Will Think Maybe This Guy Does Have Brain Damage And Is Dislusional. Garrell

check this months magazine
in this months issue of hot rod magazine's coverage of their drag week is a gmc stepside street driven truck that ran in the 12's i think, already gave my copy to my brother, there was also an elcamino that was as fast and these trucks had to drive 1,000 miles and race at 5 dragstrips in one week! after i set another landspeed record in my truck in april i would like to make the HOTROD POWER TOUR AND DRAG WEEK in 2013 if my health holds out. i read somewhere THAT INSIDE EVERY OLD MAN IS A YOUNG MAN WONDERING WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED.

|471A||So to see Priscilla's extraordinary wheelstand, a 1949-50 full size Ford truck with a 460, go to the Woodburn, Oregon Dragstrip website and look up the June 25, Saturday, 2011, Oldies but Goodies drags. The photo of Priscilla launching into space appears on page 3 of the website's three pages of photos from that date.|

|471A||Log onto the website for the Woodburn, Oregon dragstrip and search the site for their nostalgia drags. There is a 1950 Ford truck, with a 460, that runs 10s and does monster wheel stands. The truck's name is "Priscilla" and she runs a plastic mailbox as her hood scoop into the engine. I run 10s at Woodburn myself and LOVE to see this truck, except in the other lane. So, "Yes", it is possible to run quickly in a full-bodied truck, properly setup and driven.|

Garrell, if your posts are any indication, I'd say you've made a heck of a recovery. Family and faith make a big difference, that's for sure.
Good luck on the Ohio Mile and be sure to get plenty of photos and share 'em w/us!

Using a calculator at Wallace, it predicted a 11.30 ET using 1000 HP/7000 lbs., 500' elevation, 70 degrees F and 85% humidity.

|against all odds||
Coming from a beginner/strictly bolt-on standpoint, i feel that the fullsizers----1/2 ton only that is----NO 3/4 OR 1 TON, could be a good choice because:
1) Usually a good rear axle and in a lot of cases a good gear ratio ideal for dragging already installed----3.73, 4.10 etc.
2) Plenty of room to fit large slicks with no mods whatsoever. 13"-14"
So, i'm thinking a shortbed with smallblock could weigh around 3500 lbs.
