|poncho62||I deliver for NAPA.....2 of us lifted a 331 HEMI block in and out of the van today. Piece of cake. I told him that he should just use it as a boat anchor, but thats the Chevy guy in me......He did laugh, but looked at me funny.......|

|junior stocker||I have several Black and Decker drill, side support handles, that I use to screw into the bell housing and water pump bolt holes; works good to lift and move blocks around using two people. You can even "bag" the block in a garbage sack, then screw the handles in; keeps things cleaner.|

I put mine in the trunk, just make sure you have 2 people to load and unload so no one screws their back up.
If you have access to a mini van, or station wagon, they are easier to load.
If the block is greasy, but some cardboard down first to keep the carpet clean.

Need to get block to machine shop
I need to get my sbc block over to be hot tanked and I am looking for suggestions. I hear the bare block weights about 160.
