I put mine in the trunk, just make sure you have 2 people to load and unload so no one screws their back up.
If you have access to a mini van, or station wagon, they are easier to load.
If the block is greasy, but some cardboard down first to keep the carpet clean.
I have several Black and Decker drill, side support handles, that I use to screw into the bell housing and water pump bolt holes; works good to lift and move blocks around using two people. You can even "bag" the block in a garbage sack, then screw the handles in; keeps things cleaner.
I deliver for NAPA.....2 of us lifted a 331 HEMI block in and out of the van today. Piece of cake. I told him that he should just use it as a boat anchor, but thats the Chevy guy in me......He did laugh, but looked at me funny.......
