Not much today, just cleaning up and painting a trailer hitch ball mount (fits in 2" receiver) for my bike rack. That, and a bunch of homework. I'll be glad when this semester is over...

And now for the rest of the story
This morning, paint dried, installed the shroud for the last time.
Started it up, now sucking air from all sides of the core. Even feel air moving on the front of the firewall. This was a good upgrade.
Now time to get rid of those awful jet coat headers and side pipes, a big mistake.
Know of a really cool speed shop down south, in McDonough, GA. ;-)
Two hours later, some wrenching, and we now have chrome headers and side pipes. Great finish, fit was right there, a quick drive through the neighbor hood. Once at running temp parked and went over the header bolts when cooled.
So tomorrow Iíll put the hood on go for a ride and call it done

The cam is refered to as a 151,,it has 447 lift and 221 duration, the springs I like are Isky, capabible of 490 lift ss valves and 90degree locks,,the springs need the capability of 490 lift for the 447 lift cam so if you run 1.6 rockers and have a little valve float, though you should not with good springs,,also if yoyr class don't alow screw in studs and guide plates,,drill a 1/8 hole through the pedestal and drive a roll pin and pin the studs so they wont pull out,,should be bood for 6500 rpm

I think it's time to start the rod. The roads are clear of salt. Seeing motorcycles today. Last nice day before the bottom drops out again for at least a week. The valve seals can wait!

Fixed the piping in the pool pumphouse. It all works great now! Good pressure, great circulation in the pool.
Went to mow the lawn for my next chore. Jumped onto the yard tractor, hit the key and it spun over, went VROOOM! and quit. That was it. No re-start.
Checked it over - no spark! I am NOT happy - I put a new magneto on it about a month ago. Gotta go back to the lawn-care equip't place again. GRRRRR!
Been a heckuva week - today is the first day all week my internet has been "up"
I think I hear a good stiff drink calling me......
